About me
My story
I was born in the village of Kalijuri within Biswanath Upazila in Sylhet, Bangladesh. At the age of three I moved with my family to Agpara, Mirabazar in Sylhet Town. I studied my SSC at the Government Pilot High School, Sylhet, completed my Intermediate Certificate at Madan Mohon College, and my BA degree at MC College, Sylhet.
I moved to the UK in 1989 and settled in Hyde within Tameside, Greater Manchester, where I started my own businesses — and went on to build a life across journalism, charity and community work.
