My work
Business
I moved to the UK in 1989 and settled in Hyde within Tameside, Greater Manchester, where I started my own businesses.
Since 1989
Built in Manchester
Arriving in the UK in 1989, I put down roots in Hyde, Tameside and set out to build something of my own. Over three decades later, that journey spans hospitality and community enterprise in Greater Manchester — including the ADNANS restaurant.
Business has always been more than trade for me. It is how a community feeds itself, meets itself and looks after its own — and it is what made everything else in my story possible.

Chamber of Commerce
BBCCI Chairman
I have been elected Chairman of the North West Region of the British Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BBCCI) — representing the chamber across the North West of England and working to drive the region forward and strengthen the BBCCI network.
